About Watchman
Kevin McDonnell (aka) The Watchman has worked full time in the tipping industry since 1992. Kevin was a betting shop owner until the 1984/5 miners strike forced him out of business due to lack of turnover. Born in Leeds, England, Kevin has Irish ancestry with family in County Mayo. Whilst living in Ireland Kevin got to know many people on the Irish circuit from north to south, east to west all over the island of Ireland.
He was also a racing columnist for Britain’s biggest selling Sunday newspaper The News of the World and also worked with BBC and Virgin radio. This work opened many doors for Kevin to get in on the inside for top class racing information and huge gambles from sources all over the UK and Ireland.
A successful racehorse owner with Brian Ellison, Ron Thompson, Robin Bastiman, Gordon Elliott and Olly Murphy. Kevin has landed some huge gambles including a 40/1 Cheltenham winner ANOTHER RUM and a debut two year old 66/1 winner JELLY MONGER in Salisbury, plus many more over the years.
